The success of construction projects starts at the procurement stage. TARBA supports the award of public contracts to the lowest qualified bidder. We also work with public owners to support best practices in procurement, including the timely award of contracts, two-stage prequalification and bidding processes, and prompt payment.
Predictable Locates
The late delivery of locates costs us all, jeopardizing the timely completion of critical infrastructure projects like roads and housing. We continue working with One Call to create accountability and predictability in the locate delivery system and ensure that contractors can trust the legislated timelines for their projects.
Skilled Labour
In the Greater Toronto Area alone, the construction sector will have to hire 59,800 more workers by 2030 to offset retirements and meet strong demand and investments. TARBA continues to work with our employer, union, and community partners to support the next generation of construction professionals get started and advance in their careers.
